[TR] TR4A Exhaust

As you know, early TR4A's came with a resonator and dual smallish rear
mufflers, later cars with no resonator and a single, larger, sideways muffler.
Both these systems are rather tame, sound-wise.

The best sound results from using NO resonator and the two, smallish rear
mufflers. Sadly, no one sells this combination and the individual pieces
don't seem to be available in stainless. So for many years I have used this
"mongrel" system in mild steel and replace individual pieces A/R (well, OK,
the rear mufflers as a pair.) A less-than-perfect compromise for a much
mellower sound.

None of this addresses the respective sounds of after-market systems, but
Monza systems are often objectionably loud.

If the sound of your TR4A's exhaust isn't a consideration, ignore all the
above.
