This reminds me of our discussions many years ago (11 to be exact) when I
mentioned that my new grandson's name was Brendan Alexandar - of course that
is first, middle not first, last...

When I was talking with my daughter on the 2nd. I could hear Brendan in the
background asking if 'his' car was done yet.... He has it all figured out.
When I go back to my hometown for my 50th class reunion, I am to bring the car
for him to take possession (NOT). Of course he won't be 16 yet - but that is
his plan. in the meantime he getting the skill set by tinkering with his dad
on a 64GTO - a different car but just as much fun!

Great story Joe...

We have had our TR3A for 27 years. (Other TRIUMPHS before that and a vintage
racing TRIUMPH actively campaigned for the last 20 years.)

Saturday, my 16 year old grandson Brendan, removed the little used TR3A from
it's garage.

Sunday, my son Sean and I went to his office to review a couple new designs
and to discuss a forthcoming race.

Brendan took his new girlfriend for a fall ride in the TR3A.

When Sean and I returned to Sean's house, the TR3A was absolutely brilliant
looking with a coat of carefully applied and polished wax. Brendan had
wrenches out and was tinkering. The fall ride was a success.

When I asked Brendan when he was going to bring it back to Jesup, Sean said
that he planned to drive it to work the next couple of days........

This cycle all started back in the 1950s. In my 70th year, I couldnt be more
pleased with the way these three generations spent the day.

Seemed worth sharing.
