I retrofitted a SunPro sending unit for a complete guage replacement using
Hylomar, paper gaskets and a plexiglas fabricated adapter.B  Works great, no
leaks.B 

Randall is right. (...Wait, that's getting to be a redundancy in terms,
what???)
