I fooled around with mine for along time-changing bulbs, flashers  (including 
electronic flashers)  etc. Finally, I bought a complete set of  bulbs and a 
flasher from TRF. I started at the RR corner and cleaned ever  socket, and 
installed new bulbs all the way around. After I installed the new  Lucas flasher, 
they worked just fine, and that was 10 years ago.
