Looks pretty much like what chrome would look like, if you chromed something
that rough, IMO.  To get "shiny" takes a whole lot of surface preparation;
and if it's not shiny before the chrome goes on, it won't be afterwards
either.

Just curious, does anyone have a cosmetic comparison of Jet Hot with the
high temperature powder coats ?
