[Tigers] Electrical Question

I am not sure which wire is which but the
way it works:
12v goes to the motor
A wire from the other side of the motor goes
back to the switch
When the switch is closed, it connects the
low side (non 12v side) to ground
The motor runs
When you turn off the switch, the motor
keeps running because there is another
switch inside the motor that will keep the
ground connection going until the wipers
get to the parked position

If I put 12V between the red and green the motor works. But nothing happens if I put 12V on any other combination of wires. Shouldn't I be able to get a different speed using another wire?
