[Tigers] Trunk (Boot) Latch Renewal

Hi Terry,
I am not sure exactly what you are asking...

The receiver hook (the latch attached to the car body) is like a "U"
channel that rotates forward when you close the trunk.
This piece is held in a "slot" in the sheet metal of the latch and has a
spring wrapped around an axle that holds it all
together.  You can grab it and it does have side to side movement
indicating its hole for the axle is sloppy but probably still
mostly round.  Is that what you are asking?
The latch attached to the trunk is bent sheet metal with a rivet like
horizontal pin.  My pin looks like it was originally round
but is now very worn, it does rotate with finger twist(probably not
right).  It was totally dry and bare metal so I just put a little grease
on it.
Might be a dumb idea since I have smashed my bald head into it before :0
My trunk attached piece is not original because one night about twenty
years ago, leaving Santa Cruz one night it suddenly
sheared and the trunk popped open...  replaced it with an old Alpine
spare I had....  I think SS sells this piece.  The latch attached
to the body is original, don't think I have ever done anything to it.
