Hello Michael,


When we put it together Paul just re-used the slave from the tranny on the 1098. 
I believe we have the slave adjusted "all the way out" so that the take up is not at the top of the pedal range, nor just off the floor. 
We also used the original master.    
I don't have the problem that you have at all. Easy to slip the clutch and the engagement f
