[Spridgets] Stock front sway bar question?

I've always had those pieces, 'stop ends' on the anti-roll bar on my
Sprite, though I'm not sure if they really do anything, especially on my
car if the bar is mounted in aluminium blocks. I have them inboard of the
mounting points.
