It's possible they don't want to enter into money wasting and time  
consuming litigation where it's their technical expert Versus someone elses  
technical expert with a non technical expert deciding the outcome?  
 
Since they already make a lot of other brake fluids and have even changed  
some in recent years I'm confident they could make silicone if they  wanted. 
 However, you contacted AP Racing rather than AP Products and I  think 
there is general agreement DOT5 isn't the best fluid for racing and  therefor 
not a product they need to make.  They also know there 'stuff' and  I think 
even have a fluid that's not used on magnesium calipers.
