Kirk,
I just went over the dark side myself. One Monday I picked up a 1973 TR6
with factory hardtop and overdrive and NO RUST for - don't hate me - $2500.
The car hasn't run since 1992 and needs all the usuals for a car parked
so long - brakes, clutch, interior, tires, paint, etc., but that's the
fun part. When I'm done I should be somewhere in the $6K range. The BAT
example is a bute and is priced about right for one in that condition.
Look for rust, rust, rust, especially in the trailing arms. Also check
that it hasn't dropped its thrust washers.
I should have mine running by spring, but will drive the Midget to
Elkart Lake.
