[Spridgets] MG 2009

Returned last night from MG 2009 in Breckenridge, CO.
Had a great time! Beautiful driving roads, great weather and fantastic 
people. What a great place to drive a Spridget!

Drove the Midget up Pike's Peak without a hitch. I was breathing harder 
than the car. On the way down saw a '72 going up. He had all kinds of 
trouble. Fuel pump and starter quit and he had to hold the shifter in 
first gear all the way up. Coasted all the way down. But, he made it. 
Say what you want about the 1500 engine, but the extra torque really 
shines in the mountains.

Met a couple of other list members there. Mark Haynes' '59 Sprite took 
second in "other British" and Larry Macy's '09 Mini took third in the 
same category. I managed to take first place in the rubber bumper 
Midgets and my wife and I were floored when we took second in our 
first-ever TSD rally!
