    You could build it like it's a shower wall, with Schluter Kerdi.  You 
can either use Kerdi board in place of drywall, or Kerdi membrane over 
regular drywall.  'Course, then you'd want to cover that with tile, unless 
you like orange a lot.  But it'd stand up to water.
