[Nobbc] rough estimate cost of engine repair

Thank you Eugene and All:

Warnings and recommendations are all well taken and noted.

For the past twenty-five years the car has been garaged and driven less
than 500 miles due to poor performance. At a crossroads; the car had but
two ways to go.

As of today, I have authorized Clint Wright (Ed Wright British Car
Repair) to proceed to bring back "the glory days".

Regards,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

I have no experience with Jaguars and cannot match the great
stuff that others have sent you except to say that I had my
'69 MGB restored and have it serviced by the folks at
British European Motors in Rohnert Park...they specialize
in Jaguar's (and Rolls Royce and Range Rover).

You could speak to Mark Singleton to get an idea, but
I know it will be expensive.

They do GREAT work but it does get expensive and you need
to be clear about what you want done and be prepared for
cost escalation as you go...as others have noted...
"it's always something"!!

Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

Regards,

Gene Ladd
