Dave,

Whatever you do don't tap the headlight circuits for current to drive the
lights.  The best way is to take the current from the battery terminal of
the solenoid, go through a fuse, and then to a relay.

The relay can be driven by the headlight circuit through a switch. Make sure
you tap the high beam lead to the headlights so they will only work with the
high beams on.

Google the ISO (Bosch) relay to see the terminals.  One side of the coil
goes to the headlight high beam wire through a switch, the other to ground.
The current from the solenoid goes to the common terminal, and the lamps are
connected to the normally open terminal.

I plan to install both fog and driving lights this summer, and already have
the relays, one for fog, and one for driving,  already installed. They will
be controlled by a single pole double throw switch with the center switch
position off.
