[Mg-mmm] P type front axle

I am trying to fit the front axles on my P type.  The hubs are my old ones but
are still in good shape.  All the inners (bearings, cones, etc.) are new.  At
one time I got some help from peolpe on line but can't seem to find the old
emails.  I know there's shim involved.  Does anyone have any advice ?? Also,
when correctly done, how freely should the hub turn ??
