Bill Burke's car is now run by Jim Travis. It is currently sitting just inside
the front door of the NHRA Museum.

Isn't that the original Bill Burke 'Pumpkin Seed' car? It sure looks like
it. Bill went something like 203 mph with a 6 cylinder Ford Falcon motor in
1961!  So 48 years later a TV personality stuffs in a 572 inch big block
running on H2 and goes 4-5 mph SLOWER!   



I enjoy all things mechanical and appreciate the craftsman ship displayed on
some of the shows. But, P  l  e  a  s  e, why lionize a useless hollywood
spectacle?  Yes, hollywood is spelled lower case!   Flame away . . .
