I have had excellent results with the cork gasket on my 6 Cyl. engine. NO leaks. I have an aluminum valve cover. I attached the gasket to the valve cover with a silicone gasket adhesive. After the adhesive had about 15-30 minute's to partially dry, I made sure the gasket was centered on the valve cover flange & placed the valve cover on a dead flat surface & weighed it down & let it dried over nite.Gary Hodson On Friday, October 20, 2023 at 09:01:14 AM CDT, patrick williams <2x2doc at gmail.com> wrote:
I have the excellent Ray Juncal rocker cover with a cork gasket. I noticed that Moss sells a silicone gasket. So 2 questions for the list:1. Is the silicone gasket worth it?2. Moss has 2 versions, one for the original rocker cover and one for "alloy covers". No other explanation. Anyone have an opinion on which to get? Thanks.Pat Williams1960 BT7_______________________________________________
