Hi,

Just from my own experience:-

Yes, worth it.

Not sure where the issue is here…if you have an alloy cover, like mine, buy the “alloy cover” one. If not, buy the other one. Presumably there is some small difference in shape.

You need to get the appropriate glue, then stick it permanently to the rocker cover. Not easy, as it’s prone to contracting inwards along the length of the cover. (Self-explanatory once you’re actually doing it.) Do I recall the use of clothes pegs and/or bulldog clips? Not sure..)

Anyhow, once it’s on, it’s great. You can take the cover off and replace it with confidence. No leaks…no gloop sticking cork to head.

.Worth it. In my opinion at least.

Simon

Subject: [Healeys] Rocker cover gasket

I have the excellent Ray Juncal rocker cover with a cork gasket. I noticed that Moss sells a silicone gasket. So 2 questions for the list:

1. Is the silicone gasket worth it?

2. Moss has 2 versions, one for the original rocker cover and one for "alloy covers". No other explanation. Anyone have an opinion on which to get?

Thanks.
