Hello

It’s occurred to me that the blanking plate is there to act as a sacrificial anode. Or is that looking too deep into it?

I haven't Pat, but I know that they corrode through and have often wondered why they were there.

Hello

I have been sent a short article about the blanking plate fitted to the front of the 100 engine. Photo attached.

Would anyone know the purpose of the plate? Perhaps in other engine installations the opening it covers serves another purpose?

Thanks
