[Healeys] 6 Volt Battery Installation

Hi Charlie, the batteries sat in 2 trays which in turn sat on the frame.

The corners are chamfered to provide clearance for the brake line on one
side and the battery cable on the other.
The hold down rods pass through the holes in the battery, through the holes
in the trays and then into nuts welded into the frame.
The early rods were BSF thread but after C.156840 they were changed to UNF
thread.
You can see the corners of the RHS tray in this picture.

You will notice that there is a "P" clip securing the battery to battery
cable to the rim of the access hole. The hole for the screw for this is
probably apparent on your car.
