<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">Hi Charlie, the batteries sat in 2 trays which in turn sat on the frame.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small"><div><img src="cid:ii_k91e3t7d0" alt="image.png" style="margin-right: 0px;" width="255" height="253"></div><div>The corners are chamfered to provide clearance for the brake line on one side and the battery cable on the other.</div><div>The hold down rods pass through the holes in the battery, through the holes in the trays and then into nuts welded into the frame. <br></div><div>The early rods were BSF thread but after C.156840 they were changed to UNF thread.</div><div>You can see the corners of the RHS tray in this picture.<br></div><div><div><img src="cid:ii_k91ebkvh1" alt="image.png" width="559" height="277"></div><div>You will notice that there is a "P" clip securing the battery to battery cable to the rim of the access hole.
