I have a side shift gearbox here that have a hole in the bellhousing just outside the aperture where the selector rods come out from the gearbox. The selector rod for reverse quite conveniently have a conical tip that will fit a reverse switch just fine, the switch being the same thing as the overdrive switch or very similar.
Is it possible that the selector rod on a center shift also is conical at the front tip, if so a switch could possibly be installed in the same manner.
