[Healeys] BN1 Starter Solenoid Mount

I have never seen or heard of this before: but that does ot prove anything.
Could it be that a non standard starter solenoid had been fitted in the
past and was not the same shape as the original?

I can think of no other reason why there would be a reason for fitting the
solenoid further forward.

Having said that it could be that the solenoid was fitted the other way
around with the hand button more accessible but if so then the original
bracket would have been made larger in the first place.
