Yes, I know, my original post stated that the original cylinders were
anodized.  I ask if anyone knows if the reproduction cylinders currently
available are also anodized. You were the one that stated that aluminum
cylinders, even NOS cylinders which would be anodized, were crap.
I also presume that if an old cylinder is not deeply pitted or scored it can
be cleaned up with light honing & re-anodized.

The secret to the longevity of original aluminum cylinders is in the anodized
finish of the bores...again check the archives...
Once an aluminum cylinder is honed it is useless and will wear very rapidly
unless it is sleeved.
