[Healeys] Swedish Austin Healey Club Annual Meet

I trained for my driving license 1967 driving on the left side but my test
was delayed so I had to wait until 2 weeks after the turn around to right
hand traffic before taking the test.
I did not find it difficult and passed the test without problems, however 2
older ladies testing at the same time, both failed as they took the left
lane when taking a corner.

My experience driving on the left side in a left hand drive car is that it
is no problems except from the bad view when taking over, but that was not a
major issue during those days.

Strange thing is that the vast majority of cars being sold as new in Sweden
were LHD even in the times when we used to drive on the left. As I'm too
young to have been driving at that time, before '67, I have asked older
people how this could have been but no one seems to know. Even stranger is
that the majority of English cars imported in those times used to be LHD.
