Per,

My car has started!!!!!!

I just walked in now and have seen your message and yes that is what it
was, that stupid little black and white wire was slightly loose inside a
spade connector at the coil. I put a new spade connector on it and
BINGO!!! I have also correctly wired the FIA cut out switch into the
coil/ignition circuit. The FIA switch is a switch used in motorsport. It
cuts everything and then directs any residual current surge through a
resistor to earth thereby protecting the alternator. It's located on the
dashboard so I can reach it in an emegency.

I am going to take that little black and white sucker right out of the
circuit and Im also removing the cut off switch in the boot as I have the
FIA switch. I'm also looking around for a sensible ignition switch from one
of the autosport suppliers.

Thanks to everybody for all the suggestions and comments.

Derek
