[Healeys] Starter Problem now an ignition problem!!

Well it seems there are such things as conicidences. It turns out there was
a problem with the solenoid. In fact when I went to check the connections
again and applied some pressure to it the top broke away from the base! It
appears to be an old one but still amazing it chose to pack up on the very
day I was working with the ignition electrics.

I have now by passed the old solenoid and removed it. The hi torque starter
is now working fine...but I don't seem to have a spark!!. I have spent a
lot of time messing with the ignition switch connections and I find the
connections on the switch itself to be next to useless as there is not
enough space to properly anchor two wires in the same hole and obtain a
nice connection. That may be part of the problem but Ive also changed the
wiring of the FIA cut out switch. The FIA switch connections for the
ignition/coil circuit were incorrect however the car worked but the
headlights didn't. Now the headlights work but the car doesn't.
Unbelievable.

Anyone got a good checklist for the ignition circuit so I can isolate the
problem?

Derek
