So, to put this to bed, let me summarize:

Question: Does anyone already have a database set up, such as to catalog 
Healey parts, especially for use during a restoration?
Answer: Not really.  One or two people have cataloged a lot of parts, but 
those efforts are private and not moving forward.
Off topic responses:  Lots of people have opinions regarding various 
database engines and spreadsheet environments.
