In 1961 I traded my 58 MGA for a 1960 Healey. One year later we were getting
married and she had a VW bug-guess which car got sold.

I never forgot that car and regretted having to sell it. 20 years later I was
still thinking about Healeys. I would cut an advert out and place it on my
desk and wait for 2 months to call only to be told, as I expected, that the
car was sold. One time it wasnbt and the guy said he would send me specs and
pics. The first pic I saw was the car sitting in the driveway, top down,
slight angle from the front with the sun beaming off the bumper. Next day I
flew to its home, checked it out and bought it on the spot.

I have had the car since 1987, one frame off and one body off. Lots of
upgrades e.g BJ-8 engine, Blisten Shocks, alternator, electric fan, petronics
and on and on.

I wanted to be buried in it. I tried that but the cemetery people wouldnbt
buy it. Donbt know why. There is a little village 10 miles away where a guy
is buried in his corvette!
