I went middle of the road with 60 spokes for added strength and width on my 
BN1--to my eye the 72 spokes stand out as being very crowded in the spoke 
department and look much different than a 48, the 60s not so much so.

Depends also on how you plan to use it, if it is purely a mild mannered 
cruiser 48 is probably the way to go, if you like to get spirited with it or 
autocross, then maybe an upgrade to 60 or 72 spokes is more in order.
