[Healeys] AEC3475 Lay gear?

After some research, the AEC3475 is identical to the AEC3649
 in all aspects except for the ID, thus requiring a different lay gear shaft
and case.
AEC3475=0.855"
AEC3649=0.985"

Thanks Dave. Are you 100% positive? I am concerned that this is why my
tranny failed. the case says AEC3415.
