When comparing weights to printed specifications, especially in third-party
reviews, you need to note whether the weight is "curb weight" or not. Curb
weight is defined as the weight of the car with all fluid reservoirs full, but
WITHOUT driver or passengers. Occasionally, specs may use the weight of the car
with no fluids or other loads, and for other purposes, the weight may include
both fluids and driver. The differences can mean a range of probably 400 pounds
in reported weight.
