i was able to search the archives for info on my overdrive problem, but
nothing there for me.  i have a mechanical problem and am not sure what is
wrong.  took od apart and could not find anything broken or worn out.  took
out unidirectional clutch, which i suspected was the problem.  the clutch
looked fine but the clutch on allow the shaft to turn on direction.  the
rollers are always in contact with the edge of the clutch housing and any turn
in the direction that would allow the car to move forward immedietly moves the
roller bearing out and locks the shaft.   i have not taken an od apart in many
years, but if i remember correctly, the roller bearings lay in the recesses
and only move to block shaft in an overrun condition.   the spring on this
clutch keeps the bearings locked up constantly.  does anyone know what the
true normal condition of the clutch is supposed to be.  TIA healeymanjim
