[Fot] TR-3 race tires and wheels

To be helpful but self-serving here a minute, I have a nice set of original 8-spoke magnesium American Racing wheels, 5 or 5 1/2 inches wide that are just begging to go on a period correct TR3 or 4. They need a good cleaning and coat of paint. They would be much more robust than the wire wheels and still keep to the authentic look of the times. Looking for a reasonable offer.

He always runs the skinny vintage Dunlops or Hoosier Vintage TDs too. He also drives at a less aggressive pace, usually 3/4 pack. I've lapped him a couple different times in my TR3.

Modern, uber sticky radia race rubber like the Hoosier Speedsters is a recipe for trouble. None of the front running TRs that I know of are running wire wheels. There are very good reasons for this.

I will be running wires likely with Hoosier Speedsters, and am curious what others are using. 72 spoke, or 60? 15 x 5" or 15 x 6"?
