[Fot] TR-3 race tires and wheels

I have a friend that has raced a TR2 LeMans replica out here on the west coast for a long time.  I think he runs 5" rims, 60 and 72 spoke and they are always breaking spokes.  He always runs the skinny vintage Dunlops or Hoosier Vintage TDs too.  He also drives at a less aggressive pace, usually 3/4 pack.  I've lapped him a couple different times in my TR3.  
The wires have a .090" runout spec as acceptable.  I think I got that spec from Moss Motors.  That's a lot.  So don't expect them ever to be vibration free.  They do look awesome and of course period correct, but to me, the continuous maintenance is not worth the cost and effort.
