[Fot] brake fluid resistant paint

Funny:
Years ago (late ‘70s) my crew chief bought a bug eye painted with Imron. He wanted to change the color, but sanding the Imron proved tough going. So we used Castrol LMA brake fluid to slightly soften and roughen up the paint. It took off the gloss and provided a nice surface for bonding the primer. In due time the car was sold, but it was seen again two + decades later with the same paint job... Triumph Signal Red.
So maybe Imron won’t resist brake fluid as well as you would like....

I also flush the surface with lots of water out of an abundance of caution. I would say that I'm pleasantly surprised, but also satisfied. So much so, I'm painting under the hood on the restoration I'm doing now with that Nason 2k urethane.
