He wanted to change the color, but sanding the Imron proved tough going. So we used Castrol LMA brake fluid to slightly soften and roughen up the paint. It took off the gloss and provided a nice surface for bonding the primer. In due time the car was sold, but it was seen again two + decades later with the same paint job... <div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Hi,</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I can't speak for Imron or the Eastwood paint, but I've used catalyzed urethane like Nason 2k and I've been quite happy with it on the race car and I have spilled DOT 4 fluid on it and the paint did not discolor or peel as long as I wiped it right off. I also flush the surface with lots of water out of an abundance of caution. I would say that I'm pleasantly surprised, but also satisfied.
