[Fot] Brake line question

Hi Randall,
I've brake pressure gauges in my TR3,
The maximum reading on these gauges is 1400 psi, no problem to push 1000psi
on one gauge and at the same time 600psi on the other gauge, without servo,
and I'm no body builder. But you're right, it's still far from 6700 psi
though.

Just to play devil's advocate for a moment, I see compression fittings rated
to 6700 psi in the MMC catalog (higher if you use high pressure tubing to go
with them).

What braking system can generate that kind of pressure? According to
Nelson, it takes 80 lbf on the pedal to generate 380 psi, so 800 lbf would
only be 3800 psi. Whose right leg is that strong (even if the seat doesn't
break)?

Not that I'm going to try it myself, of course <g>
