Just to play devil's advocate for a moment, I see compression fittings rated to 6700 psi in the MMC catalog (higher if you use high pressure tubing to go with them).

What braking system can generate that kind of pressure?  According to Nelson, it takes 80 lbf on the pedal to generate 380 psi, so 800 lbf would only be 3800 psi.  Whose right leg is that strong (even if the seat doesn't break)?

Not that I'm going to try it myself, of course <g>
