"Advantaged", by the way, also means lap times, so if someone was  
blowing the chicane every lap to gain time they would be black flagged  
or penalized. Also, the rules vary, but in most amateur racing if you  
run two or four wheels off the racing circuit you might be warned once  
and black flagged the next time. Blowing the chicane is running off  
the racing circuit.  The pro rules are a little different in wording  
but identical in intent--it's okay to blow a chicane or run off the  
racing surface as long as you don't gain advantage from it.
