Dana invited some good natured ribbing, and I was happy to be among those
to supply it.

In my opinion, the 311 is probably not the best vehicle for someone with
physical challenges (tight cockpit, close-spaced control pedals) or lack of
expertise at fully manual driving (no power brakes, no power steering,
minimal crash protection, etc.).

And, as our cars settle further into collector status as the years go by,
it is worth instead considering a conversion like this with, say a Miata or
some other car where vast numbers are available to draw from.

The Miata, in particular, provides a very similar sports car experience,
and may satisfy quite well the more casual driver who may not specifically
be into the 311.
