My experience with Dot 5, it dissolved all the rubber parts in my brake
master and clutch slave.  Dot 4 for me from now on.

 

I also have no use for the nylatron suspension bushings I just removed.
Going to try the polyurethane.

 

While I am at it, I think I found the answer to putting oil in trunnions.
