Hello All,
I'm lucky enough to work for a small company that is completely virtual. Al=
l of us work from home. That's a blessing for sure, but also presents const=
ant distractions like the Roadster Factory website and the work in progress=
 out in the garage.
I'm in the middle painting the bulkhead/firewall or whatever that shelf-lik=
e metal is that the brake and clutch master cylinders, battery, wiper motor=
and other once-filthy parts are bolted to. Last year I was bleeding my bra=
kes after finishing a complete front brake project on my 76 Spitfire. I was=
so close! Then I noticed the brake master was leaking. The paint was bad t=
here so I decided to take it down to the metal and paint. It's coming along=
....
Also replaced a leaking radiator. Turns out the price for a flush, fill and=
replace the fill collar which was bad at a local radiator shop was more th=
an a new one. Actually got if for free with American Express points on Amaz=
on. I guess the hardest part of that project was removing the new hood lift=
s I had installed earlier in the year. The rest was much easier than expect=
ed. Of course the next project will not be.
I'm also hoping to replace the chrome trim on top of the windshield frame. =
The PO must have been blind or always in a hurry. Thinking about a thin rub=
ber cover for the roof top pins that fit into the chrome piece atop the fra=
me so it won't scratch the metal when I'm rushing to secure the top too.
Also Larry sent me a link to the nice aluminum engine valences which which =
are certainly cheaper that on VB. The old ones are, well you know, pitiful.=
So much to do but this will make a nice visual difference.=C2=A0
I'm so anxious to get the car back together and drive soon.
Thanks and stay healthy.

I've been staying fairly busy, as I'm still working ("life-sustaining indu=
stry") a couple of days each week and I have 10 acres to maintain/keep up w=
ith.=C2=A0 So, plenty of non-automotive machinery to maintain & prepare for=
spring.=C2=A0 Also, downed trees to cut up & clear out.=C2=A0 Firewood to =
cut, split and stack.=C2=A0 Gardening work is already starting, under the d=
irection of The Spousal Unit.

On the automotive front, I've had both Midgets out, a few times, for 20-50 =
mile drives.=C2=A0 I finally finished building the rotisserie for my MGB-GT=
restoration project and got the car mounted on it.=C2=A0 But, had to set t=
hat project aside, yet again and concentrate on preparing Cindy's MGB and m=
y MGA for the driving season.

Cindy's B needs battery box repairs, but access is really difficult unless =
I remove the rear axle.=C2=A0 That isn't going to happen this year (or for =
the next several), so I figured out another way to skin that cat with a min=
imal amount of welding.=C2=A0 That and a few lesser items and that one will=
 be on the road.

I need to install the new bumpers on my MGA and take another crack at the p=
esky tappet cover leaks.=C2=A0 Then, I will make some changes so that I can=
run K&N air filters (the stock air filters are a miserable pain in the ass=
to R&R).=C2=A0 Larry Learn installed the new top, back in October, so the =
MGA will be all set for Import Carlisle.

Speaking of future events, I got a call from Dan Delbianco, yesterday.=C2=
=A0 Dan says PVGP (along with British Car Day and Countryside Tour) is stil=
l very much "on" for this year.=C2=A0 So, we have something to look forward=
 to, in July.

I replaced my leaky, whiny differential with a Infinity Q45 R200 unit. This=
turned into a full blown shipwrights disease attack, including but not lim=
ited to Good Parts C/V joint rear axles, Keenserts to reinforce the hub mou=
nting studs. Those are holding in Good Parts rear hubs. Finding I still had=
some money left in went Nylatron trailing arm bushings and the cherry on t=
op was a shortened driveshaft with larger u-joints with the grease fittings=
in the cup instead oh the center of the thing.
Post script..
My old differential continues to bleed out in the corner of my garage until=
 I get rid of it.
I was hoping to meet more club members at the Mid-Ohio Kas Kastner race thi=
s summer but it looks like I may be able to sneak in a new carpet kit with =
the way things are going!
