It would seem that there is definitely an inconsistency in flagging
procedures, depending on the Stewards, Organizers, Sanctioning bodies, corner
worker groups, etc.

While its always a good idea to go to all driver's meetings to find out what
procedures are in place, unfortunately, many drivers don't for a variety of
reasons.

With issues like:

Red Flag procedures
Double Yellow meanings
White flag (usually slow moving vehicle, or safety car)...but sometimes 1 lap
to go....

Perhaps the VMC should try to get agreement from all the particpating groups
to standardize on flagging procedures as vintage racers often travel and race
with other clubs. Doing the wrong thing in an emergency situation only makes
matters worse.
