For what it's worth. VARAC (Vintage Automobile Racing Association of
Canada) follows the CASC rules:
Driver Suits: One Piece Suits - 2 layers approved material with approved
underware
- 3 layer suits
- suits carrying an SFI3-2A/3 rating with
approved underware
- suits carrying an SFI3-2A/5 or higher
rating
- multi layer suits with FIA homologation
approved material = material approved by ASN Canada,
FIA,SCCA and SFI
Helmets: Snell 90SA and 95SA - "Full face helmets and shields shall be
worn by drivers of open cars and are strongly recommended for all
drivers. A VARAC Supplementary rule states that drivers of all cars
(including closed cars) must wear eye protection conforming with CASC
regs (Eyglasses and sunglasses must be made of shatterproof material.
