So here is how long it actually took me to tow to Seattle....I was driving a
92 Ford king cab F150 pick up with the 4.9 litre straight 6 and auto trans
towing an open tilt trailer carring a Lotus 51.... Left Berkeley at 9:30 am
wed. and at 9:30 pm I was in Salem Ore..12 hours and a little over 600 miles.
The next day it took 4.5 hours to S.I.R.......I was towing at 65-70 MPH a lot
and got 16 MPG.........The return trip was a little quicker (down hill)...10
Am to 9 PM...Seattle to Redding........Thanks to all who replied to my
question about how long it took.....
Also the event was good, Real pretty track, nice people, good parties, Good
weather other than a big rain storm at lunch on Sat......My only complaint
would be that it was a bit on the thin side as far as track time.......We had
two 15 minute sessions a day.....Thats all........and a few of those were
squeezed a bit.....Otherwise I really enjoyed the weekend...Thanks
SOVERN!!!!!
