A friend of mine tried to do exactly what you want with his TR3 Carl=2C and=
lost a GPS as a result of it. Just handling the GPS =2C and having the ca=
se briefly touch metal was enough to fry everything. For a car with tourin=
g needs and use of modern gadgets I'd suggest changing polarity for the tri=
p - you can always change it back it if you want to show the car with posit=
ive ground.
