I'm not sure if Dan's diagram was for a different relay, or is simply
incomplete in this area. Since Dan doesn't own a TR4A, I'm guessing he just
copied the factory diagram (which also doesn't show a connection to W2).
With the relay you have described, W2 needs to get power from somewhere to
activate the relay. Easiest way is to have a jumper from the purple wire on
C2 to W2.
