Having been divorced for a couple years when I bought my TR6 the "ladies" in
the office where I worked took the opportunity to tease me a bit about the car
being a "chick magnet". I laughed at the time knowing that I had dreamed of
owning a classic sports car since I was 12 years old and attracting women was
the farthest thing from my mind when I made the decision to buy the car. Since
then I think one time has an attractive woman made a comment about the car and
I am sure it was the car that was attracting the comment, not the driver,
especially since my 13 year old daughter was in the passenger seat and the
woman was closer to her age than mine. I now often mention that the TR6 is a
chick magnet, then I pause for a moment and say, unfortunately, the polarity
is reversed!
